He fully immersed himself in all aspects of the real estate transaction, taking the time to educate me as a first-time homeowner on the many elements that are important to evaluating a  property to the many steps required to finalize a deal. We had a number of brainstorming discussions as we looked at units early on in the search process so that I could develop a better feel for comparables in the neighborhood. Then during the bidding process, he was able to customize the two offers to match the circumstances so that I would maximize my odds while not overpaying. More specifically, he used his keen local knowledge of property prices at that time to win out over six other offers by a slim margin on a condo that received a high level of interest at the open house. Later on during the inspection process, not only did Duncan recommend an outstanding inspector but he was engaged in helping me to prioritize, sort and negotiate with the selling agent those repairs that needed to be addressed.
